Up, Up and Away..

First class have been exploring the theme of transport and made their very own hot air balloons during art lessons over the last few weeks. From being creative with their balloon design - some painting, some used oil pastels and some used fabric and fibre, to learning how to make woven baskets, this lesson was definitely a big hit! 

Some were happy to travel to Cork in their hot air balloon, others wanted to go to Spain and some even said outer space.  The oral language talk and discussion during this lesson was amazing, chatting about who they would bring, what they needed to go on holidays and how fast the balloon would travel. Some wondered what they would do if the weather was raining while they set off....I'm not sure they fully understand the carry on guidelines for suitcases just yet, I would make a fortune for over weight bags I bet :)..
