Third class studied a unit in their English programme all about famous artists. The focus was primarily on 3 artists; Jan Vermeer, Marc Chagall and Andy Warhol. We watched informative, educational videos about each artists life and works. We explored the National Art Gallery using our schools ipads and compared a selection of pieces using venn diagrams and held many class discussions about the artists intent. Each student then had the opportunity to select an artist and give an oral presentation about that individual following completion of a written report. We finished up our unit of study with an art inspired lesson based on the artist Marc Chagall. Well done third, you all did a fantastic job!!
