Cara's Extraordinary Maths Challenge
We had a day full of excitement and smiles in the build up to Cara's Junior Certificate Maths exam. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with messages, phonecalls and fanmail of well wishes and support to the school, a massive thank you to all!
Cara's classmates and teacher Ms. Mackey have also been a wonderful support and are so proud of Cara's achievements, everyone (including the teachers) enjoyed ice-cream treats this afternoon.
A big thank you to Mr. Michael O'Loughlin, Principal in the Presentation Secondary School, Clonmel who provided the exam paper today and met Garda Judy who would escort the exam paper to Ardfinnan NS. Thanks to Garda Judy who then presented the paper to me and met with Cara, Cara's parents, teacher and a number of our local representatives, Senator Garret Ahearn, Mattie McGrath TD, Councillors Micheál Anglim, Mairin McGrath, Marie Murphy and Richie Molloy who visited our school this afternoon to wish Cara well and to chat with us about access to services and therapies.
But the biggest well done has to go to Cara, she was so excited about getting started on the exam today that she was nearly ran down the hall to the exam room. She was full of smiles before and after sitting the exam and headed off home with her mum and dad, Mark and Noelle just in time for her weekly art class, taking it all in her stride, an amazing little girl.
Ms. Quinlivan.
