Brendan and Paul Cummins visit our School

We were deiligted to have Tipperary and Club great Brendan Cummins with us last week and his talented son Paul. 

Paul was part of this years winning Tipperary Minor and All-Ireland team. He brought the John Doyle Munster Cup and the Irish Press All Ireland cup to show to the boys and girls, along with the U20 Munster Cup, managed by Brendan. 

The boys and girls were treated to wise words from both Brendan and Paul on how hard work, practice, and club roots form the best building blocks for a great hurler. We wish them all the best in this year's championship and hope to welcome them back with more silverware next year. Thanks to Ballybacon-Grange's Johnny English and to our school couch Nigel Carrigan for all the encouragement also. 

As a past pupil Brendan's pictures adorm many a wall in our school but we were delighted to show off his signed jersey from 2009 Tipp Vs Cork match that sits pride of place as you enter our school. UP TIPP!!!
