The sensory garden was specifically created to be accessible and enjoyable for all of the pupils in Ardfinnan N.S.

Ardfinnan N.S. was awarded an A.I.B Better Ireland Award in 2008. This was used to support the establishment of the Sensory garden. The support from local Community groups, past pupils and parents was hugely important. The plants and features appeal to our five senses, some smell good, some feel good, some look good, some sound good, and one or two even taste good!

Our sensory garden consists of a water feature, a large variety of plants, a variety of surface textures, chimes, concave and convex mirrors and a garden bench.
